Why do classic kids’ ballet flats do harm and barefoot ones don’t?
Girls’ dress-up footwear tends to be the first to shape children’s feet by force. A narrow toe presses the toes together exactly at the age when the foot is forming the most, and a stiff sole takes away its freedom of movement. Barefoot ballet flats keep the delicate look but are made on an anatomical last. From what age are ballet flats suitable?
